Washing and caring for a heated body warmer

A heated body warmer contains electronics, but with the right preparation you can keep it clean and in good condition.

Before washing

Always remove the power bank before washing. Check that cables are tucked away properly, close zips and preferably use a laundry bag. Always follow the care label for your specific model.

Close zips	Protects fabric, lining and cable openings.
Use a gentle programme	Reduces unnecessary stress on materials.

Drying and storage

Let the body warmer air dry. Do not use a tumble dryer and do not place it directly on a hot radiator. Store it dry, with the cable neatly protected and the power bank disconnected.

Power bank care

Charge the power bank fully before use and keep it dry. If you do not use the body warmer for a while, recharge the power bank occasionally. Read more in our power bank for heated clothing guide.

Short advice

Remove the power bank, wash gently, air dry and store everything dry. That keeps your heated body warmer reliable.

An Ode to Gløde!

After the Øney from Gløde, which is super comfortable for outdoor riding lessons, I've now also tried their bodywarmer for indoor riding, and it's fantastic too! The elastic sides ensure a perfect fit and allow for plenty of freedom of movement. The control panels are on the outside, making it very easy to adjust the temperature on the go.
