Why cycling feels so cold
When cycling, windchill matters. Even if the outside temperature seems manageable, the felt temperature can be much lower. Chest, back and neck cool quickly. A thick coat can help, but may feel sweaty or stiff. A heated body warmer warms your core, so you can stay comfortable with less bulk.
What should you look for?
Heat works best close to the body. Too loose means heat loss.
Windchill is the biggest cold factor on a bike.
Set the heat level before you leave.
For commuting, 10,000 mAh is often enough; long e-bike rides need more reserve.
Under or over your jacket?
For cycling, a heated body warmer usually works best under a windproof jacket. That keeps the generated warmth closer to your body and prevents the wind from stripping it away. Wear a breathable base layer underneath so you do not become clammy.
Combine the body warmer with a suitable power bank for heated clothing and choose more capacity for longer rides.
Gløde advice
For cycling, maximum thickness is not the point. Adjustable warmth plus wind protection keeps you warm without making you bulky.
